WATER CONDITIONS: Brackish (tablespoon of seasalt/gallon)

TEMPERATURE RANGE: 22-26 C

FOOD: Feed Girardinus metallicus small live-foods and fine grade dried foods

DISTRIBUTION: This species comes from Costa Rica, Cuba

AQUARIUM CARE: The metallic livebearer is a rather charming fish, which is both easy to keep and attractive, but it is also a great algae eater too. Like many livebearers, they do slightly better with slightly brackish conditions, but other than this require no special treatment; being at home in a brackish community tank.

BREEDING: These livebearers are easy to breed – acting much like guppies. Removing the parent fish from the fry may or may not be necessary
