Aquarium Fish :: View topic – Are they community fish?

Hi Naz, Tiger barbs (Capoeta tetrazona) are definate fin nippers. Especially on gouramis. They treat all fish as other tiger barbs, and when they do not act ‘barbishly’ enough they will be bullied. Its a pecking order thing, Many fish nip fins, and the ‘king’ of the tank is the one with the best tail. A kribensis spends his time skulking in the bottom/middle areas of the tank, and may avoid the barbs curiosity if the tank is well planted. You should be ok, but definately don’t put in any Bettas (gouramis), guppys, long tailed danios etc
