DISTRIBUTION: This species comes from Sierra Leone, Liberia

AQUARIUM CARE: A fairly non-aggressive cichlid that does well in a larger tank with plenty of hiding places, tough plants, and clear water

Other Comments: Need calm & room to breed in a community tank. Long & intensive parental care results in continuous pressure on tankmates (in a 1000 liters tank!). They also need big caves (always spawned in caves and never on open substrate in my tanks).
