AQUARIUM CARE: The Odessa barb has not been formally described as it has not been found in the wild. The original specimins were found in an aquarium store in Odessa, Ukraine. They are thought perhaps to be some form of crossbreed between other barb species, however they are not sterile, and breed true.
BREEDING: Breeding is relatively easy; the fish are substrate spawners, depositing their eggs on plants or spawning mops. If left in a well planted tank, yound can appear with the adults.
