Hi fishheads, other than color, is their any difference between leopard and zebra danios. Do they need different tanks / food / tankmates?

no they are perhaps even the same species. One has spots, the other stripes, simple as that

These may or may not be the same species, but they can hybridize, so I feel they probably are subspecies. And yes, they behave the same

They are subspecies, showing no peculiar “features” between each other.. they just differ for the color, in my opinion
