This is very hard to do. Males are bigger finned, and get a head lump, but young fish are near impossible to sex

get a group, and watch their behaviour. They can take a while to spawn, but its worth the wait

Good choice, and what a cool fish. Can’t beat it for brightness of yellow! If you are lucky a pair may have formed in the dealers tank. Watch their behaviour Incidently what are you keeping them with?

These fish seem seriously aggressive. Anyone sucessfully bred them and had the pair live to tell the tale? I’m tempted, but its an expensive mistake if they get angry Are dithers any good, or will they all die too? What about catfish?
