Aquarium Fish :: View topic – African Barbs

I’m trying to devise a biotope aquarium featuring African ciclids (not great lakes cichlids though) – maybe Pseudocrenilabrus nicholsi, a couple elephant nosed fish and some barbs. The whole thing will be full of anubias, bogwood, and maybe lillies. So what barbs are appropriate. I’m having trouble finding species, but I can order some. Can anyone suggest suitable species for this set up? I don’t want anything too aggressive, nor anything too drab. What are my choices please?
