FOOD: Feed Anostomus anostomus live and dried foods

DISTRIBUTION: This species comes from Brazil, Guyana, Peru, Surinam

AQUARIUM CARE: This larger characin needs a larger tank in which it inhabits the middle and bottom strata. Hiding places are essential, and care must be taken to ensure that individuals are feeding happily.

BREEDING: Breeding is difficult, and in most cases will not occur in the aquarium.
